Hey everyone!

Im going to be out on Wednesday, so I want to make sure we get in our Wing 5 work today!

We are changing up our Dhuum strategy based on group feedback and discussion. My impression is people want to change back to our original strat. So the plan is:

Wing 5

Normal roles for SH, River of Souls, Statues

Dhuum: Greens Temerity (1), Khani (2), Naxia (3) Strange (backup) Kiter: Maia

We will do a few pulls and see what our dps is at the first suck. Remember, we must get to 70% if we don't want to hit enrage (and we definitely don't). If we're not hitting the mark we can try Option B which is changing greens to Khani (1), Maia (2) with Temerity taking the first one, and Naxia (3) with Maia kiting. However, that will take some adjusting to on my part as I haven't practiced doing kiting and greens very much (I think 4ish pulls), so we'll need to decide as a group of we want to invest time in that.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know!

If we had more people on ele, the dps would definitely be better I think....but it needs to be people who have played weaver. If weaver isn't possible , I think folks should be on Holosmith. Condi Soulbeast looks like it might also be an option, but we should have as many weavers as possible: https://www.gw2raidar.com/global_stats/area-19450 Don't know if that link will go where I hope it does or not... Also I'm noticing that my personal boss DPS on spellbreaker is garbo-trash compared to what I get on Condi-Breserker, if Conker is going to continue to be Spellbreaker he should be doing Winds of Disenchantment and I should do something with more DPS. (He should really be on Holo or Weaver though and I need to get better on power banner spellbreaker)

I started playing tempest on (pug) raids and had trouble staying alive, then I solved that and managed to do good to awesome DPS on several encounters. PoF hit, balance patch blah blah, after getting ok with the classes I wanted I started on weaver, only cause it is broken (and I do believe they're gonna nerf some % modifiers like double attunement from 10 to 5% maybe), but anyway... I was able to hit 30k on golem w/o much effort but then did horrible on copperheads, horrible on KC, better on Xera. I don't know why, maybe mechanics, maybe messing with the rotation, maybe due to perfect alacrity and quickness on the golem vs real boons on encounters. But it is broken, and any DPS guy should be able to play it, even w/o pulling the best DPS.

The best way to get practice on weaver is joining pug groups where nobody cares about shit dps and you will still probably do better than them.

I don't like weaver, it's boring, but I'm going to give it some hours today before the raid and see how it goes. It's not hard once you get to play it, it may look overwhelming once you wanna start with it I agree.

Mechanics on other bosses than Dhuum are bleh, but Dhuum mechanics are punishing so the faster we can get it's HP down it will be better for all of us.

We may not have the best DPS but we never hit enrage right? So we're not good at mechanics either.

This thread has some hard core honesty, I love it!

I believe our best ever pull was 15%. We agreed at the time that we would have hit enrage if we had not died at that point (we gged because we had lost more than 7).

Mechanics have been an issue. I'm hoping that going back to the comp we had the most success on addresses issues with greens.

The second issue is when people die relatively early in the fight our dps drops. On runs that the mechanics people are doing well, we have been losing dps people. If we want to avoid enrage, we can't really lose any dps people with the 2 Druid comp and our current dps.

I'm happy to give the dpsers a chance to practice weaver on Dhuum, assuming they have already achieved 85% in the golem, so they can practice.

Sounds like you all are at full strength tonight? If so, my plans have me at wallyball tonight. I'll try to check in later.

Have fun at Wallyball!

As far as I know, yes we are full.
