I was extremely lucky to get him -- his foster mom was going to foster-fail (i.e. adopt him) and the adoption coordinator talked with her and she decided to take a pass on the cat so that I could adopt him. I have been searching for a fluffy long hair boy for about 6 weeks now and have failed to get one several times.
