    Dhuum time (cranking it up a notch) Hi guys, I've been thinking about Dhuum. This fight is hard. Very hard. It takes most groups lots of pulls to get it down the first time. I think we're not getting in enough practice. I want to get in 2-3 hours on it this week. I'm going to look into buying an instance for us to start with tonight. If anyone has time to clear up to Dhuum on their own today that would be great (I'll try to.) This week, I want to make some small changes. The main one is, I want to start calling gg only if we get to a catastrophic failure. The reason for this is I want us to see and practice more of the fight. That means we gg if Pyro dies or more than 3 people die (we won't be able to do the seals at 10% without people alive) To do that, we need to build more redundancy into the team. Also, I want to assign someone to call the suck mechanic and the shackles. Roles: Tank: Pyro (chrono) Greens: Naxia (off chrono), Khani (BS), Temerity (Condi Renegade or scourge) Green back up: Vivid (Weaver) Boon strip at suck: Strange (Condi renegade) Boon strip back up: Temerity (Condi Renegade or Scourge) Kiter: Maia (Druid) Kiter back up: Options: 1) Strange brings hammer 2) Temerity takes over on Scourge but that means Vivid has to run greens 3) On group Druid takes over-bad for heals 4) we gg if kiter dies Calling shackles: Abys (Weaver) Calling soul suck and placing symbol: On group Druid (If I don't find one, this is going to be Mevic) Back up soul suck symbol placer: Maia Helper for kiter to kill spiders: Strange (they are weak to Condi. If Temerity brings scourge and isn't currently up in the sky he could help with a shade instead.) The soul suck: I'm going to place a yellow X where everyone should stand for the first suck. To survive it, we'll need protection (stone spirit from on group Druid), Condi clear (both Druids will have traited healing spring and brown bear), healing (both Druids will go into CA right before the knock back and heal on the symbol), and the kiter will use the utility skill "guard" (reduces damage on allies 33%). However, this will only work if everyone is on the symbol, back to the wall at the knock back. For the second soul suck at 5:05 the Druids will move the X and it's everyone's responsibility to get to the new location. Everything else will be the same. I also wanted mention I'm confident we can do this. This past week we regularly got to the first soul suck, which is better than the weeks before. In last week's best run we got to 54%, and we're going to beat that this week Tonight I want to start with Dhuum for 1.5 hours (or until kill) and then move to the first part of Wing 5. We will take a break around 9:55.

    Hey @spltscreen. As of this moment we are one person down. However, I still have this afternoon to try and change that. I wouldn't want you to miss Wallyball because of us! I'm sure we'll be able to find someone for today, so don't feel like you have to miss it.

    It's Dhuum time again! I want to mix it up a little bit tonight and only run 2 healers. That means we will need a dps person to run greens as one of the Druids will need to kite and the other will need to stay on the group. Here's the plan: Tank: Pyro Kiter: Guest Druid (The person I recruited for tonight says he has killed Dhuum and Dhuum CM) Druid on group: Maia DPS: Sub (Ser or Bone), Vivid, Mevic, Abys. Bring your best deeps! Mirage: Temerity Greens: Khani, Temerity, Naxia After we kill Dhuum (thinking positive) or 1.5 hours is up, we will break. Then we'll kill Xera and Wing 1.
  10. These are the benchmark numbers squad members need to hit on the golem. These are the minimum! The higher our numbers are, the quicker the kills and less time we have to deal with mechanics (mostly). I suggest everyone try to reach 90% on their main class. The format is Class/build: Golem1st number, Golem 2nd, Golem 3rd, Golem 4th (these are the numbers that read out in the chat window, unit is k); average dps (this number comes from GW2 dps reports https://dps.report) I'm most concerned with the average. I'm not going to fuss over small differences in the other numbers. These are all small hit box. These numbers all come from SC's website. Let me know if you want to run something not on this list. I posted a breakdown of the reasons behind our wipes last week, so please check that if you haven't yet so you know what to focus on. After that we'll take a break and then do Wing 2 (Khani's fav. Aren't they supposed to change the extra gold buff wing? When does that happen?) and Wing 1. May will be joining us again on druid.     Souless Horror Performance Log Hi guys! I wanted to share my analysis of our Soulless Horror runs from this raid. We didn't kill this boss, and the question is why. Overall, I believe our biggest problem is walls. People are dying to walls too frequently and too early in the fight. In a few fights, having several people dead leads to us not having enough CC and then we all die. Yes, there were several runs where I messed up the pushing, but walls were more often the cause of wipes. If it motivates people, we could play a little game next raid and each time you die to a wall you have to give the group a gold (I will use the money to buy group food or something). If walls are a problem for you, consider practicing in a pug this weekend. Run 4 Abys hit by vortex then wall Run 5 May died to wall at 40% Vivid died to wall at 24% Pyro died to a wall at 9% All died to not enough CC Run 6 STrange and Pyro died to a wall at 52% Run 7 Pushing problems Run 8 Vivid died to a wall Run 9 Strange, May, Temerity all died to wall 50ish% Run 10 Abys died to a wall 79% Pyro died to a wall at 61% Run 11 Temerity died to a wall 52% May Died to wall Naxia Died to wall at 28% Not enough CC and we all died This one had some golem problems but we worked around them Run 12 Pyro died to wall at 33% May died to vortex slash or maybe falling off the platform at 32% Run 13 Temerity and Khani died to wall at 47% Not enough CC and we all die Total wall kills over 13 runs: May 5 Pyro 5 Vivid 3 Temerity 3 Strange 3 Khani 2 Abys 2 Naxia 1 Mevic 0 Maia 0 Times Maia messed up pushing: 3/13

    Thanks Mevic! I watched both videos and I tend to agree with the commenter on the second video. I only thing that strategy worked because they had good rng. The only reason they lived at that last wall was luck. I have heard the rumor that SH CM is actually easier than normal mode. I'd be up for trying at least a few pulls so people get a feel for it. I haven't gotten a chance to analyze our pulls from Monday yet, but I believe our problems are the pushing and walls. I should probably know this, but what is the skill that people are using to push the golem that has those blue chains? Is that banish/zealots embrace from hammer guard?

    Raid status update: I want to let everyone know I'm not sure if we're going to have enough people to raid without either people bringing friends or getting someone off of lfg. Ive got replacements for Naxia and Strange, but Abys is a maybe and we still need a Druid. I'm fine with pugging if everyone agrees, but I'm also willing to cancel if people would rather do that. If we raid tonight, I propose we start with Matthias, then hit Wings 1 and 3. If we have any time left we could give Soulless Horror a few tries.
