I haven't watched the video yet. Do they just go ham on Deimos when they return from demonic realm, and then Epi Saul once Deimos is loaded up?

I'm working out what build to use for Deimos kiting on a Druid. I think it should be pretty ezmode with Greatsword and Sword / Warhorn. Can get a lot of damage reduction and perma regen. Sounds like we probably won't be working on this tonight though. Also, if anybody else really wants a crack at this role ahead of me then by all means go for it, it's not like I am investing in new gear for this. -
It's not a proper strat unless it involves MS paint. I approve, and watch out Mold.

Reviewing footage from Monday night, it looks like zoning back up to them main platform while Deimos is doing his ground slam can cause an animation bug where his animation desyncs from the indicator and the damage/knockback. Then something (I don't have any idea what) knocks you off the platform. I don't know if this is a mechanic or lag or what but there it is for you to see.

If you look at 2/25 numbers here, Odd carried add DPS even harder on Engi with 22k, while still doing 2k higher boss DPS. This makes sense given that Engi bomb auto hits really hard and hits 5 targets, to say nothing of the other AoE they bring to the table. Plus this brings Pinpoint Distribution for the Ranger(s), several AoE blinds (including a blinding field with Smoke Bomb), and decent breaks. It sounds like swapping in a strong add clearing class for one Ranger might reduce the RNG factor when it comes to minigames and add management. This could be Engi, Fire Ele, FA Staff, Sc/WH, or even D/WH Ele. I overestimated how well Rangers would clear adds, but it makes sense now -- they have a lot of AoE damage, but because it's part of the rotation it might not be available when you need it. Ranger and any form of Ele are also heavily subject to alacrity uptime while Engi is not so much dependent. TL;DR = swap one Ranger for a strong add clearing class like Engi or Ele and we may win more reliably -
I would really like to see Necro (especially GS) be viable, but this build's extreme reliance on comboing has me doubting that it will be any good in raids. Also, melting adds on Sabetha can be counter-productive, pugs I have been in have deliberately left sappers alive for more throwable bombs. Taking Epi would mean dropping either a minion utility (less combo finishers), or BiP (less personal bleeding stacks on target). Not to say I am against getting weird, just stating my expectations for this in a non-golem setting.

I know we have some people (including myself) learning condi PS. I am putting this video out there as a resource. I realize qT has great benchmark videos, but their content can sometimes feel a little inaccessible, plus they often don't explain really important aspects of the rotation. This character has no infusions so you should be able to do this on any newly minted condi PS.

It's a max deeps setup. Definitely not intended to be a how to play or how to build. Sigils are strength / geomancy. Metabattle and qT's site recommend earth but in the actual qT video he's using geomancy so IDK. Toxic focusing crystal / rare veggie. Buffs are pre-set instead of relying on generated might. It should be identical to the setup used in the qT vid which is intentional for comparison purposes.

So the trick with Tempest kiting is that you have to alternate between rebound and arcane shield to negate the dome attack. It also looks like toughness may mitigate the flak damage as the tempest in this video is taking about half the damage I was taking. Knowing that rebound works should help a lot for challenge mode. I still think Rev is probably better suited but at least now I understand how it's possible on Tempest.

Throwing this out there for anybody who is interested in Condi Ranger. Using 'realistic' buffs as defined by http://qtfy.enjin.com/dps. Full YOLO build. For comparison purposes, not using Sylvari elite, which adds 1-2k DPS. No stat infusions

I can also gear out a Rev for kiting if needed, but I know I am not first pick for this role. Just throwing it out there.
